Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts' first resort hotel in mainland China will soon debut in "Oriental Hawaii" - Shangri-La Resort and Spa, Sanya will open as a five-star luxury hotel on September 28, 2014. The Shangri-La Hotel, Sanya, located in Haitang Bay, covers an area of 180,000 square meters, has 340 elegant and spacious guest rooms and 8 double-storey villas, facing 180-degree views of the mountains and sea, and sitting on a 300-meter stretch of white sandy beach. It aims to create recreational activities and leisure facilities in Haitang Bay for guests. All leisure and entertainment activities are concentrated in two specific areas: "Oasis" and "Beach". There are five activity centers including a children's adventure park and a children's water park.
