Tangshe Hotel faces the Li River to the south and is surrounded by mountains rising from the ground. The site is rich in natural landscape, including a sugar factory from the 1960s and industrial trusses used for sugar transportation. In terms of site layout design, the standard guest room building and villas are located on the two wings of the old sugar factory, so that the old sugar factory still occupies the central axis of the entire hotel complex. The facade of the new building mainly uses a mixture of concrete "return"-shaped blocks and local stones. The material texture and building logic are consistent with the blue bricks of the old building, but contemporary construction technology makes it appear more modern. For a smart and transparent visual effect, it also improves the ventilation and lighting performance of the building. The new volume is strictly controlled to be lower than the old factory building, and the sloped roof form and roof angle of the old sugar factory are followed, so that the new and old buildings evolve and change in the same order.
